Kebony recently launched a new 1×8 cladding profile for the Click-In Cladding System (CCS). This rainscreen system was developed last year by Kebony in collaboration with GradConcept USA for the building envelope industry and interior accent walls in a 1×6 profile. The system pairs Kebony cladding with Grad’s Mini Rail System, which allows for easy installation as the cladding locks quickly into place.
The introduction of a 1×8 profile for CCS is groundbreaking, because it is the first 1×8 cladding product in North America to offer true hidden fastening. The CCS clips, which are completely invisible after installation, are factory-placed in position. The installer simply has to fasten the CCS Mini Rails onto the sheathing or vapor barrier and snap the boards in place. CCS Mini Rails are manufactured in two different gap sizes and can be installed horizontally or vertically.
There are several features our clients love about CCS, from the perfect aesthetic created by the uniform spacing of the boards to the ease of use that cuts installation time in half. No pre-drilling or maintenance is required, and CCS boasts an expected lifespan of 50-75 years. In addition, sustainability is one of Kebony’s core values, so the aluminum used is 100% recyclable. Like all Kebony products, the boards fade into a natural silver-gray patina over time, and the product comes with a 30-year warranty.
