Telemark, Norway is the site for Powerhouse Telemark, a new 11-story building that pays homage to the early 19th Century hydropower plant that once resided there. The building symbolizes Telemark’s history, while also representing the area’s dedication to decarbonization and green construction. Powerhouse Telemark will generate twenty times the annual energy use of an average Norwegian household, and will contribute to surplus energy being sold back to the energy grid. The entire structure was designed to be sustainable, including the use of Kebony cladding and decking on the terrace.
