India Basin Waterfront Park turns a neglected part of San Francisco’s shoreline into a vibrant public space. The project brings together Jensen Architects, GGN, San Francisco Recreation & Parks, the Trust for Public Land, and local community partners. Together they restored the habitat and created spaces that reflect the culture and needs of the neighborhood.

The team chose Kebony wood decking for its natural beauty, strong moisture resistance, and proven performance in marine settings. The warm brown color will age into a silver-gray finish. This change gives visitors a safe, comfortable surface underfoot and adds a clean, elegant look to the waterfront.
